Your First Visit
What To Expect?
At your first visit you will be greeted by our warm staff and requested to fill out the registration and health history forms. Once registered we will take appropriate x-rays and a photo of you. The rest of your appointment will be primarily with the dentist and should last about 1 hour. The Dentist will perform a thorough examination of your entire mouth, including an oral cancer screening and an exam of the supporting structure of your teeth. The doctor will explain all of the findings to you, and show you the x-rays and any pictures of your mouth that are taken. You will have plenty of time to discuss your treatment needs or desires. We want to give you all of the information needed to help you make educated decisions about your mouth. Before you leave we will make every effort possible to provide you a treatment plan that includes an estimate of your co-pays and what your dental insurance will cover.
Our focus is on getting to know you and your dental needs, but if time permits we will have your teeth cleaned too.
Dental Emergencies
If you have an immediate dental needs that qualify as an emergency, we will likely focus on the area causing you discomfort and make every effort to treat the area. You will then be rescheduled for either more definitive treatment of the area or for a full exam and cleaning.
As a courtesy for established patients, if you have a dental emergency after office hours, call our office and you will receive instructions on how to reach our on-call dentist. The dentist will make every effort to return your call and attend to your needs in a timely manner.
